The challenge was for Janssen / J&J agent Dan Wilson of “Dr. Wilson’s Debunk the Funk Videos” to show that each of 2 papers of his choice – on their own, not relying on any outside evidence – show the existence of the alleged “SARS-COV-2” particles (genome and spikey protein shell) and that the particles were purified. Because that was Dan’s positive claim.
The 1st paper we looked at is by Zhu et al., February 2020 (note: none of the links to the studies below are broken, despite WordPress indicating that they are):

This paper contains contains zero protein analysis, and one of the authors admitted in writing to rockstar investigative journalist and Virus Mania co-author Torsten Engelbrecht way back in March 2020 that they didn’t purify the particles that they had passed off as a “the virus”:

So clearly that paper did not pass the test.
The 2nd paper is by Turonova et al., October 2020:

This is the same paper that Dan and his colleague Thomas Baldwin attempted to “debunk” Tom Cowan and Andy Kaufman with back in 2021, thinking they were citing a “scientific” paper showing the existence of the imaginary/deadly replicating disease bomb “SARS-COV-2”.
Turonova et al. did not find and purify potential “virus” particles from a clinical sample, sequence and characterize them, and study them with valid controlled experiments as per the scientific method.
Rather, the authors explain that a so-called “isolate MUC-1” had been provided to them by Dr. G. Dobler, Bundeswehr Institute for Microbiology, Denmark.
We actually know that this so-called “isolate MUC-1” was a man-made monkey/cow/human/bacteria/fungi concoction cooked up by the infamous pair, Corman and Drosten, as confirmed by my emails with Dr. Dobler and a bit of research outlined here:

Turonova et al. added Corman and Drosten’s monkey/cow/human/bacteria/fungi “isolate” to some more monkey (Vero) cells. This new monkey/cow/human/bacteria/fungi mess was then centrifuged with sucrose – which is not a guarantee that anything was purified.
The authors published cryo–electron tomography images zoomed in on just a few particles. Image C shows 1 particle clearly larger than the others, and some stuff up in the right corner. What would we see if they zoomed out? Who knows.
As for the “SARS-COV-2 genome” put forward by Turonova et al. – which is not the same as the “genome” uploaded by the Zhu et al. – this is what the authors report:
They extracted all of the RNA from their centrifuged monkey/cow/human/bacteria/fungi mess, isolated the mRNA, generated cDNA, did some amplification, loaded their library on to the Illuminati MiSeq platform and generated ~20 millions reads, each 150 bases long.
They removed reads that mapped onto a virtual Vero cell genome; then the remaining millions and millions of reads of 40+ bp (after “trimming”), of unknown provenance:
“were used as input in the guided-assembly galaxy pipeline” … “the pipeline was run with default parameters, digital normalization option and the reference genome of the virus BetaCoV/Germany/BavPat1/2020”.
What could possibly go wrong?
In my view, zillions of “reads” of unknown provenance fed into a software assembly pipeline with a reference “genome” is a far cry from an intact “SARS-COV-2” genome, let alone an intact “SARS-COV-2” genome surrounded by the alleged “SARS-COV-2” spikey protein shell.
