Ontario Health Minister wants nothing to do with water fluoridation

Email sent Dec. 9 2018, cc’d to Mayors of Peel, Toronto & Hamilton, Prime Minister & all Premiers.

Dear Members of Windsor, LaSalle and Tecumseh Councils,

I am a professional biostatistician working in the field of cancer research over this past decade, having earned my Master’s degree at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.

I wish to bring to your attention the province’s apparent change of heart on the matter of water fluoridation, some of the recent inputs likely responsible for this change, as well as some troubling problems with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit’s Oral Health Report 2018 Update, including what appears to be scientific fraud, data that is disturbingly unreliable and WECHU’s contrived public support for community water fluoridation.

Ontario Environment Minister Rod Phillips, responsible for the Safe Drinking Water Act (which trumps the preposterous, unconstitutional Fluoridation Act) passed the buck to Health Minister Christine Elliott when queried by the Windsor administration this fall, see page 469 at the link below.

Health Minister Elliott ignored a letter from the administration, but replied to a letter from Dr. Ahmed of WECHU after being prompted by the Premier, see page 414.

Health Minister Elliott’s response: It’s the municipality’s decision, leave me out of it! (paraphrased, see page 471).  https://www.citywindsor.ca/cityhall/City-Council-Meetings/Meetings-This-Week/Documents/December%2017%20City%20Council%20First%20Print%20with%20Item%20Numbers%20-%20Updated.pdf

My letter to Windsor City Council, May 3, 2018, re Windsor-Essex County Health Unit’s disgracefully unscientific 2018 Oral Health Report (note that WECHU has since corrected an error in Table 8 of their report that was pointed out under issue #8 in my letter): https://www.fluoridefreepeel.ca/ffp-submission-for-windsor-fluoridation-meeting-may-7-2018/

Ontario MOHLTC’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Williams rubber-stamped WECHU’s fraud, see page 472: https://www.citywindsor.ca/cityhall/City-Council-Meetings/Meetings-This-Week/Documents/December%2017%20City%20Council%20First%20Print%20with%20Item%20Numbers%20-%20Updated.pdf

Grade school math shows that every 385 ml of the Region of Peel’s fluoridated drinking water contains 0.25 mg fluoride, the same dose that the FDA, CDC, Health Canada and dentists all agree must be spit out by young children when brushing their teeth with the recommended pea-sized bit of fluoridated toothpaste: 0.385 L x 0.65 mg / L = 0.25 mg fluoride. The CDC’s statement regarding the fluoride content in fluoridated toothpaste and the need to spit it out indicates that the recommended pea sized bit of toothpaste is approximately 0.25 grams, and each gram contains ~1 mg fluoride, hence the pea sized bit contains ~0.25 mg fluoride: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr5014a1.htm

Supreme Court of Canada 1957, uncontested: water fluoridation is a form of compulsory medication. Page 580, Toronto (Metro) v. Forest Hill Village: https://www.fluoridefreepeel.ca/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/1957scr_0569.pdf
